Chicken despawn!?

Why the chicken after a few time despawn? It's regular? :/
Edit:
Today, I had buy two mob eggs that I spawned. But, poof! It despawned! It had no sense! Why you can win it when vote the server if it don't use?

too many mobs in a small area will cause it to despawn-

well too many in one space would make them all despawn, your going to have to breed them all again

Make sure you have claimed the land that the mobs are in. Without that, leaving it will cause all of those passive mobs to disappear. And I recommend getting more space, and maybe making it a long strip of grass instead of a square area. Just my opinion. And yeah, it depends on what the server cap is for a certain area, and all together. Btw, what might you need these chickens for? Materials obtained from chickens are very easily bought in the shop, with little money. If you're trying to level up, just breed and kill, over and over again. Killing the baby chickens count toward your goal.
