Do my animals and turtle eggs grow while I am offline? If someone buys a vote part / op crates for everyone do I get them if I am offline?

Your eggs/animals/crops only grow and/or mature if the chunks are loaded. Meaning that YOU or another player, MUST BE INSIDE THE CHUNKS that contain those items, or they WILL NOT advance at all while you are offline. Game mechanics only effect items in your claims while the chunks are loaded. It does not have to be YOU that is there, but someone MUST be to keep them loaded. That is what makes living in towns beneficial.

What is the activation chunk distance? Does claimed area impact any of that? I'm assuming that the chunk load is still true even for piston/auto-farm use.

For any mobs to move, what is the distance from the player for them to activate? EG: villager breeding or mob spawner to work?

I believe it is set as a constant equal to the server chunk load tender distance which is I think 5 chunks.
